July Profile: Denise and Bela
"It is such a benefit to Bela and me to be able to combine our time outside, working out. I've never been one to stand in a dog park chatting on a regular basis. I've always had to get my heart going too. And of course, Bela needs to get her senses, heart and brain moving for at least 1 hour a day.
"Even though I've been wearing a heart rate monitor and felt I was at a good level of cardio fitness, I really needed to start including some strength training and was grappling with how to incorporate this in my time with Bela.
"I felt sorta lost, until I met Linzi and Sgt. Peeks. It's been 4 weeks, and I'm truly seeing a change in muscle tone, not to mention the mental and energy boosts that come with targeted strength training.
"When Bela and I get home after our hour with Linzi, Bela has breakfast, then settles in for a snooze, but later, is so much calmer throughout the day.
"Me? I'm rearing to go! I so recommend the early morning workout to everyone. After only 4 weeks, I'm waking up feeling good and excited about the day ahead.
"Linzi's calm, grounded, strong yet gentle, supportive approach is amazing. And, Sgt. Peeks happy happy, wag wag glow, is always a heart melter everytime — even at 6AM!"
